As a 13-year homeowner in San Juan Capistrano, I'm frustrated with traffic jams, overdevelopment, and erosion of our community's character.    I'm running for City Council because since I do not rely on developers for my livelihood, I can correct these problems.

As co-founder of Citizens Against Uncontrolled San Juan Expansion,   I've spent years preserving the rural, equestrian and historical character of SJC.  Supervisor Tom Wilson asked me to represent SJC on his committee evaluating the Ranch's 14,000 home development.  I've worked on:

Supporting a San Juan Capistrano High School
           Decreasing traffic
           Reducing development density
           Improving the General Plan
           Revitalizing Downtown
           Preserving open space

We must proactively solve these issues, eliminate exceptions to our policies, and stop being reactive to development projects before solving traffic and other impacts.  We cannot undermine our ridgeline protections and rural character to satisfy developers.

As President of various companies, I bring proactive planning to City finances and will "think outside the box."  I'll involve citizens in solutions and tradeoffs in facing budget shortfalls.

We chose to live in SJC because of our community's uniqueness.    I will work to preserve and enhance that uniqueness, and insure that my family and yours live in a safe community.
